Join Our Mailing List Keep informed about North Jersey happenings!   We are trying an experiment this year in our outdoor garden We will try for a second harvest of leaf and root vegatables.   I am interested in growing a garden year round so this year i decided to try some produce not dependent upon pollinators to plant in the fall, such as leaf and root vegetables. Although it is difficult to find seeds in the fall season, I found some at a local "dollar store". there wasn't a big selection but three packs for a dollar seemed reasonable and i bought two radish seed packs and one turnip sed pack.  I cleared out the summer garden bean bushes and cleared the space between the sunflowers and carrots and planted the turnip and radish seeds in a long row. October 1, 2017 - Turnip and radish seeds sown!
